Description: Northern Lights is a widely recognized cannabis strain within modern horticultural history. Stabilized by Sensi Seeds in the Netherlands during the late 1980s, its lineage is documented as a cross between indigenous Afghani indica and Thai sativa landrace varieties. The plants are characterized by a compact structure with dense buds that feature a prominent layer of resinous trichomes. Its aromatic profile is determined by dominant terpenes such as myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene, which produce a combination of sweet, earthy pine, and peppery-spice notes. Due to its stable genetic history and significant resin production, this cultivar has historically served as a foundational benchmark in cannabis breeding, contributing to the development of numerous modern hybrid varieties.
